Frederick Remsen Hutton (1853-1918) was a Columbia College graduate of 1873, Columbia University professor of Mechanical engineering, and a Dean of Columbia's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He also was a Vice President of the Carnegie-supported American Museum of Safety, and a Secretary of the Carnegie-supported United Engineering Society.
