- Abstract: In 1963 the New York School of Social Work was fully merged into Columbia University as the Columbia University School of Social Work. It eventually moved to the McVicar Hall (the building that now houses Columbia Alumni Center) on Morningside Campus , in accordance with the plans, indicated in this letter by Columbia University president Grayson Kirk to Carnegie Corporation president Alan Pifer.

- Abstract: Carnegie Corporation funded a new building for the Julliard School as part of the Lincoln Center project. In this letter John D. Rockefeller updates Carnegie Corporation President Alan Pifer on the progress of the project. In 1969 the Julliard School moved into the new building from its earlier location on Claremont Avenue at 120th Street in Morningside Heights.
