Abstract
The University of Edinburgh awarded Andrew Carnegie an honorary degree in 1906. He was twice elected Rector of Scotland' most ancient university, St. Andrews. Carnegie' speech in Edinburgh and his photograph in Aberdeen document his triumphant 1906 visit to these institutions.
