His narration highlights the absence of physical closeness and the difficulty of this for him and his wife Anna, who are both very socially active people. He analyzes the differences of communicating via Zoom and telephone during social distancing. Chavolla discusses the protests following the murder of George Floyd, including the health considerations of protesting during a pandemic. In the second session, Chavolla describes how he and his wife Anna traveled from New York City to Arizona by car. They participated in Black Lives Matter protests as they traveled. Chavolla describes Globe, Arizona and the Apache community there. He compares COVID-19 health precautions in New York and Arizona and discusses the political situation in Arizona and nationally
