In this prenuptial agreement between Andrew Carnegie and Louise Whitfield, Louise gave up her rights to her husband's estate in return for an annual income of $20,000 (over 3 million dollars in today's money). The bulk of Andrew Carnegie's estate was to be devoted to charitable and educational purposes, with Louise's full approval.
