Lucille Austria is the director of nursing for the oncology services at New York Presbyterian Hospital, the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Born and raised in New Jersey to Filipino parents, Austria has been an oncology nurse since the 2000 s. Transitioning from a clinical nurse manager into a patient care director role has meant Austria has oversight of the inpatient oncology unit, which includes a medical oncology unit, a surgical oncology unit, and a bone marrow transplant unit
