This is the only known photo of James Bertram (1872-1934), Andrew Carnegie's personal secretary. Andrew Carnegie hired him in Skibo, Scotland in 1897 upon recommendation from Dr. Hew Morrison, Chief Librarian of the Edinburgh Public Library.
