Abstract
World peace was one of Andrew Carnegie's great passions. “I am drawn more to this cause than to any,” he wrote in 1907. This lecture was organized by Association for International Conciliation and its founder Baron d'Estournelles de Constant. the 1909 Nobel Peace Prize winner, who represented France at both Hague Peace Conferences, delivered the introduction to Carnegie's Sophia lecture.
