H.R.H. Prince Henry of the Netherlands
Some interesting communications have recently came to American Red Cross headquarters from Dr. Henry van Dyke, American Minister to The Netherlands. One of them is from His Royal Highness Prince Henry of the Netherlands, in which the Prince Consort ac knowledged receipt of a check for $5,000 from the American Red Cross for use by The Netherlands Red Cross in the European war relief work. 'Thanking Your Excellency for the renewed token of sympathy which the American nation again bestows on our charity work.' writes the Prince, who is President of The Netherlands Red Cross. 'I will deem it a favor if Your Excellency will kindly transmit to the Committee of the American Red Cross my warmest thanks for this so generous gift.'" [SOURCE: The American Red Cross.
