- Abstract
- "View of Ōi" features the forty-seventh of the sixty-nine stations of the Kiso road that Hiroshige depicted in this series. The print shows a group of travelers leaving the post town of Ōi in a hilly and snowy landscape. Gofun (based on ground oystershell) was sprinkled to give the effect of falling snow.
