Abstract: This book examines the caste-class dilemma within the post-Ambedkar Dalit movement. It highlights the growing rift between the Dalit middle class and the Dalit proletariat, a divide that became increasingly pronounced in both the articulation and praxis of the movement after Ambedkar’s time. The book argues that this avoidable division has significantly impeded the struggle for Dalit emancipation.
