Abstract
Oral history interview with Norbu Gyentsen (Tib. Nor bu rgyal mtshan, also Norbu Gyaltsen ; Ch. Luobujiangcun or Luobu Jiangcun), Party Secretary of the Southwest Minority University (Xi nan min zu da xue); discusses his childhood in Kham (Tib. Khams) with parents of Han Chinese and Tibetan background, respectively; also comments on Tibetan language. He discusses in some detail his sense of identit y, and how he "feels Tibetan" and the reasons for this.

Norbu Gyentsen was born in 1956 in Kham (Tib. Khams) and in 1971 entered high school in Ganzi County (Tib. Dkar mdzes). In 2000, at the time of the interview, he was Oarty Secretary of the Southwest Minority University (Xi nan Min zu Da xue) in Chengd u.
