Annotation on the back by H. Fader: Top Plate: In memory of Sukhman Limbu born 1854 A.D. Being first Prachin [catechist] of Kalimpong Christian congregation, he spent 19 years in preaching the gospel. Last lines undecipherable due to blurrred photo. B ottom plate: in the loving memory of Padre Namthak. He was the first ordained servant of this church [ i.e. MacFarlane Memorial church]. He was baptized in 1898 and for 44 years was the evangelist in Mangwa and Kalimpong. He was born in 1851 and died in 1921.
