- Abstract
- The first session with Alex Resnick provides a brief overview of his professional trajectory and then primarily focuses on his work in emergency response, management, and coordination with NYU Langone. He compares how his work looks under normal circumstances and during the pandemic. He discusses how he changed his commute, driving or using rideshare services instead of taking the subway. In the se cond session, Resnick describes how the pandemic had progressed since the first session and the implications for his job. He speaks about NYU Langone's effort to produce more face shields using donated materials. He also describes the role of medical student volunteers as the hospital system faced shortages in the early stages of the pandemic

- Originally from Orlando, Florida, Alex Resnick lived in Brooklyn and worked as a senior emergency management specialist with NYU Langone Health at the time of the pandemic. Prior to that, he studied at Florida State University, interned with Jet Blue, and was the regional manager for mass care programs with the American Red Cross of Greater New York
