Rosa Ramirez was born in Santiago, Cuba in 1964. She was a pediatric nurse. She was the founder of the lesbian and bisexual group Las Isabelas. She was the coordinator of the Women and AIDS project. As a teenager, she had her first love affair with a woman but had to end it after her mother found out. Due to family pressure, she married a man and had a child. She divorced soon after. She has participated in the National Lesbian and Bisexual Encounters and the Latin American Feminist Lesbian Encounters. Rosa Ramírez was interviewed for the project that led to the book How Things Fall Apart. The name is a pseudonym for the project
Rosa Ramírez nació en Santiago, Cuba, en 1964. Fue enfermera pediátrica. Fue fundadora del grupo de lesbianas y bisexuales Las Isabelas. Fue coordinadora del proyecto Mujer y Sida. Cuando era adolescente, tuvo su primera relación amorosa con una m ujer, pero debió finalizarla tras que su madre se enterara. Debido a la presión familiar, se casó con un hombre y tuvo un hijo. Se divorció al poco tiempo. Ha participado en los Encuentros Nacionales de Lesbianas y Bisexuales y en los Encuentros Lésbicos Feministas Latinoamericanos.
