- Annotation on back by H. Fader: Norbu Tshering (aged 26 or 7) and KD standing with their favorite taxi driver and his Austin who always was the one to take them places like Darj[eeling], Siliguri or Sikkim. Late 1940s. Lopcha Tea Estate and Tea factor y in background . On way to Darj from Teesta. Tshering Norbu (younger bro of D. Rigzin Wangpo) died fighting on Sino-Indian border war in 1962 in Ladakh, shot by Chin[ese] soldiers.
