- Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya speaks about her family background and upbringing, life in New York both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, and her extensive work as an artist currently aiming to address anti-Asian violence and racism. In speaking about past, current, and upcoming projects, Phingbodhipakkiya emphasizes the need for collective action in order to combat white supremacy and uplift thos e harmed by it. Phingbodhipakkiya speaks about the immigrant experience, the power of learning how to speak about difficult issues, the importance of making the invisible visible, and the importance of inclusivity

- Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya was born in 1988 in Atlanta, Georgia, the child of Thai and Indonesian immigrants. Phingbodhipakkiya obtained a degree in neuroscience from Columbia University, but ultimately she pivoted to art. She has won numerous awards fo r her art, and her installations have been shown at the Cooper Union, Times Square, and Lincoln Center. She has been artist-in-residence with the NYC Commission on Human Rights, which led to the public art campaign "I Still Believe in Our City"
