Pal Eldredge was born in Lahaina, moved to Lana'i at a young age, and grew up in Mānoa Valley. Eldredge attended Punahou High School and later attended Bringham Young University in Provo, Utah, on a baseball scholarship. He has taught at Punahou Scho ols as an elementary math and science teacher, where he was Barack Obama's fifth grade instructor. Pal also belongs to the National College Baseball Coaches Association and the National High School Baseball Association. In addition, he has been a coach for high school baseball and a major league baseball scout
