Abstract
Video footage of the old trading town of Gyantse (Tib. Rgyal rtse), as well as Rgyal rtse rdzong, a Tibetan fortress, and the monastery Pelkhor Chode (Tib. Dpal 'khor chos sde ; also Palcho or Pelkor) in southern Tibet; footage includes markets and mule-drawn traditional carts, as well as modern vehicles, children, and scenes of rural life.
