Arlo Guthrie, guest. Arlo sings "The Pickle Song" "OX 7-8506" (a pitching song). Arlo asks that people who know him from Howard Beach to please call in and pledge some money. Arlo plays an autoharp. Arlo and Bob get a $15 tally for the "Rainbow Roach" Fund. Arlo performs a guitar solo of Alice's Restaurant and tries to get pledges. Arlo picks out a "WBAI Song" to try to get people to pledge. Bob an nounces that the tally in total is currently $23,136.00 and names donors to Arlo's accompaniment of "America The Beautiful." Bob is rewinding an "Alice's Restaurant" tape and reads the names of people who have phoned in "barter" donations. Arlo is heard picking in the background. Arlo plays "Beethoven's Ninth" on autoharp for $5.00. Arlo plays "I Want Some Money" and Bob announces the new tally is $23,263.50. Arlo picks out the "Star Spangled Banner." A recording of "Percy's Song" by Bob Dylan is played for a $50 pledge. Discussion of "barter" donations
