Abstract:
Lang Weiwei, young director of the Sichuan Institute of Minority Studies, discusses the history of Sino-Tibetan relations since the Yuan dynasty. XXX At 23 minutes, another older scholar speaks and clarifies that not just Tibet, but other provinces also claimed independence from the Qing Dynasty, and central China's power over Tibet was weak at the time, but it doesn't mean that Tibet was independent in the early 20th century.
