In the second session, Juan reflects on the death of his mother and the loneliness he felt as a teenager. Juan discusses the quality of household appliances produced in the United States and the former Soviet Union. He describes the parties he DJs at and the musical genres he likes, such as reggaeton, salsa, and merengue. Juan discusses the difficulties of dating white or trigueña women as a Black man. He describes the racist discrimination he experienced in his childhood. Juan reflects on his Catholic practices and comments on the churches in Havana. Juan considers himself an autodidact and describes his study practices. Lastly, he comments on his fascination with Canada and cold climates.

In the third session, Juan returns to some of the issues he has mentioned before, such as the death of his mother. He also talks about the tranquility of Cuba and his relationship with his best friend who lives in the United States. Juan shows his concern about violence and the use of weapons in the United States
