- Donor notes: Fragment at the beginning of Noah Howard announcing at the NYMJF 1972. Mentions that the Hoofers will be coming out in a few minutes. Likely July 4, 1972 at New Federal Theater? (see sched in Heller 2005.) Followed by beginning of big ban d set. Perhaps also from 1972 festival, but band not listed on same concert w/ Hoofers. Date unclear. Vocals overdriven on original tape. Leader on tape sticks between tracks, but tape is strong. 3:30 in cd track 2, Jenkins goes into a dramatic weeping for about 30 seconds. Bizarre. Second performance begins with "Watermelon Man." Info unknown. May or may not be Sam Brown. Levels very uneven here. Gets louder at about 3:30. Track 4, 9 min, starts warping time. Tape likely shedding. BAKE PRIOR TO NEXT PLAYBACK. CD VERSION DOES NOT GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH.
