Additional information: Montauk State Park is one of the State Parks under the jurisdiction of the Long Island State park Commission. Distance from NYC, 132 miles. This Park is about 7 miles east of Montauk Village and is located at the very tip of Mo ntauk peninsula. It marks the extreme end of Long Island. It is available for picnic parties only. A broad sceinic parkway connects the present concrete road at the west end of Hither Hills State Park with Montauk Point. Light refreshments and meals can be obtained at popular prices at the restaurant in the Park.
