Label once affixed to the back has now fallen off and reads: 1924 Democratic Convention, Madison Square Garden, New York / Pen & ink drawing: Making it safe for Democracy. Signed "Norman". - Shows New / York City personified in 18th century costume (M ayor?) in front of Madison / Square Garden. In foreground the canyon of Broadway, with signs reading "Boot- / legger Paradise padlocked" - "Gay Cafe closed by Andy Volstead" - "Grand clean- / up, N.Y. Police" and many more. Also Woolworth Building, with sign:"For exci- / tement visit the Woolworth Tower between Nominations."
