Abstract
In the first session, Julie Naanes spoke about her experience as a Christian during the pandemic, her relationship with God during the pandemic, remote worship, and the challenges with being disconnected from her church during the virtual era. By the second session in September, Naanes had moved to the suburbs of Dallas to start at the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law. She spoke abou t her participation in Black Lives Matter protests in New York City over the summer, cultural differences between New York City and Dallas, her studies, and her thoughts on her relationship with God

Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Julie Naanes has worked for the faith-based nonprofit Cru, (formally Campus Crusade for Christ) since the early 2000s. Naanes also volunteers with Invisible Hands, an organization in New York City that delivers gr oceries and other necessities to individuals seeking support. In 2020, Naanes moved from the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City to Dallas to attend the University of North Texas in Dallas College of Law
