The individual ribs grow thinner or thicker following the curves of the body. The glaze in the grooves between the ribs is a darker color, which serves to throw the raised design into even greater relief. The body also has a motif of shooting bamboo leaves incised. The vessel comes with a tall conical lid, a curving spout and a loop handle.
