Abstract
Received note enclosing four letters and picture that morning. Paris Gazette first definite information that Cornwallis surrendered. Happy that Mr. MorrisÆs sons are safe in France. Offers to help them in any way can and asks for mailing address for Geneva. Hears from Morris often and will communicate any news. Fears rumor that Miss LivingstonÆs broth er was carried to dry land is premature. Regrets that did not get better acquainted with Ridley in Philadelphia.
