- Abstract
- Description of Philadelphia newspapers and their editors. Opposition to Jay's appointment to London-6 categories of objections, charging Jay with pro-British, anti-French convictions; judicial decisions unfavorable to nation; and "sacrifice" of American rights on Mississippi to Spanish. House passed non-importation of British goods act, but Senate will probably defeat it. French triumph daily. Amer icans should provide selves with "strong wall of protection under which" they can shelter selves and ignore temptations to break neutrality.
