- Abstract
- Sends his commission to Jay to give to Congress. Note to President of Congress states that he is encargo de negocios for Spain to U.S. Came to America by way of Puerto Rico. Will stay at Philadelphia several days to regain his health and asks that this letter be communicated to Congress. Note from Carlos, King of Spain, that he is sending Gardoqui as Spain representative to America as a sign of his friendship for this country.
