Abstract:
Annotation on back: insertDescription: 63rd The AICP Annual report, 1905-1906, section on Fresh Air Work, p. 54. "Next to the overburdened women and the sick babies, the 'little mothers' appeal most strongly - those young girls upon whom the entire care and responsibility of a family devolve. Not every one of the is as fortunate as the child of fifteen who earnestly said when she was complimented on the neat appearance of the home: "Oh, but it's only right for me to keep things clean and nice, for since mama died, three years ago, papa has been awful good. He stays home nights and spends all he makes on us children and the house. He will be so glad to let us go to Sea Breeze."
