- His property condemned by the Governor and Council of Port au Prince on the pretended claim of a French subject whom he never owed a livre and whom he did not even know. No tribunal to which he can make a claim. Thus, no possibility of redress, except thru a representation to the King and Council. Hopes Jay will intercede for him. (encloses papers on the case).
