- Letter from minister concerning Talbot; Otto has already consulted with Talbot concerning sending Talbot's sons to France. Happy that Montmorin expresses same friendly inclination toward U.S. that Vergennes did. Letter of Castries indicates Talbot's sons should come to France, and Castries will arrange for them to ship on board a French ship of war.
