- Abstract
- Letterbook copy. Sorry that Gardoqui's departure so soon after the erection of the new government makes it less likely the treaty negotiations will proceed. Commendation of Gardoqui for his personal efforts to increase bonds between U.S. and Spain, and assurances that the U.S. will continue to work with Gardoqui's Secretary toward closer bonds between the two nations.
