- Abstract
- Since he last wrote to Carmichael on 20 Oct. he has received no letters from him. He is enclosing a packet for Mr. Chiappe which the President wishes be forwarded to him without delay. Carmichael is to decide whether he thinks it safe to transmit the packet with the Court dispatches to Morocco. Whatever means he chooses, the letters should reach Mr. Chiappe as soon as possible. Jefferson has not ye t arrived but is expected daily.
