- Acknowledges receipt of letter of 28 July and its enclosures. With a few days, Letter signed in the hand of Robert H. Harrison. Washington will send Congress a report of plans for Sullivan expedition. Now encloses letter of 31 July from General Parsons, giving an account of enemy's conduct at New Haven and returns of houses they burnt at Fairfield and Norwalk on 20 July. Enclosure not present.
