Abstract:
Is pressing Berlin for an answer to American business there and the prizes in their ports. A friendly disposition there. Has his commission from Congress for Madrid. We were not supposed to pay Spain for the supplies sent up to now but in the future we are to pay them with produce through the house of Gardoqui. Repeats the information concerning Beaumarchais given in his letter of 16 August 1777.
