- Ebenezer Backus, the bearer of this, will deliver a copy of a writ issued by the circuit court of Connecticut against him at the suit of persons claiming lands in this state under a title derived from Connecticut. If the Attorney General is absent from New York City, the writ is to be given to Col. Hamilton.
