Has received their report and account on the Brothertown Indians; feels this should be rendered around the time the annuity is paid, the first Monday in August. At this time recommendations should be made as to the expenditure of the money. In this year's report the advice is of too general a nature to form an opinion on the wants of the Indians. If there is a sufficient balance after providing for ordinary wants, inclines to have either a grist mill or a schoolmaster's house built. The prudence of giving them more livestock depends on the use they have made of former supplies.
