Since the capture of many men, Colonel Rawlins regiment, consisting of fifty or sixty men and a new officers, is unemployed. Washington asks to be allowed to propose to Congress that the officers be permitted to complete their present three companies by recruiting, and go to be employed in the western expedition under General McIntosh, where they would be valuable.
