- Abstract
- New York wishes to gain permission from the Continental Congress to sell the tea imported from Holland with a very high tax on it in order to be able to import other goods from Holland including much needed arms and ammunition. Material also needed to build tents. Do not plan to import any more tea. Such a course will also prevent the temptation to a clandestine trade by the tea merchants.
