- Abstract
- Transmits extract of Minutes of Georgia Assembly, 30 January 1788 and letter from Governor of Florida of 12 December 1787. Papers concern asylum given Negro slaves who have escaped from border States and entered Florida. Asks Gardoqui to do what he can to represent the matter to Spanish Court. Congress anxious that Spanish officials be given orders to facilitate capture and return of such slaves to their masters.
