- Abstract
- Same as NNC-SC : 5869, except for first paragraph, which introduces Jay's comments with the observation that Congress has busied themselves with reconsiderations of his introductions. It would appear that this version was the one dispatched to Gardoqui. He is now in position to negotiate on a more satisfactory basis, and he hopes to renew their conferences in the near future. Hopes that they may ag ree upon a treaty that will be mutually satisfactory to both nations.
