- Abstract
- Letter signed in the hand of Richard Kidder Meade with enclosures. Sends copies of : Washington to Edward Hand, 4 April 1779; to Board of War, 22 April and 23 May; to Alexander McDougall, 6 May and 14 May (all enclosures present). Documents concern measures to supply troops to General John Sullivan and to provide them with clothing. If the expedition had started without delay, supplies would have b een abundant. Washington thinks that "General Sullivan might have spared the remonstrances he made upon this subject."
