Abstract
Letter signed in the hand of Richard Kidder Meade (2 pages) with more than 20 pages of enclosures. Sends report of capture of Powles Hook by Major Henry Lee, who showed great prudence and bravery. Lord Stirling aided in the attack and making the American retreat a safe one. Ten Continentals were killed in the attack, but since the initial report was made, more than half of the men listed as missing have returned.
