- Abstract
- Mr. Wadsworth, returning from an eastern direction, told him that a ship arrived from Charleston, South Carolina. The captain had fled the harbor, just before an embargo on all shipping was put in place the evening of May 5th, and the sailors were ordered on shore for the defense of the town. Believes the British have an army larger than the Americans.
