Autograph letter signed. Received his letter of 30 January, requesting
information concerning Illinois Company, in which Kirby states Jay was once interested.
Jay imperfectly recalls the Company and the lands claims; does not remember that he was
a proprietor, and thinks Kirby's list is erroneous. Possibly some other information will
later occur to hi m.
