- Abstract
- Jay refuses to be considered for the post in England. Adams deserves the post and if Jay were in Congress he would vote for him. Wants Carmichael to be ordered to come to Paris to settle the accounts in Jay's department with Mr. Barclay. Does not think Carmichael has complied with the request of Congress to send this information to Philadelphia.
