Title
[Document, 1775 November 26]
Abstract
Transmits the Congressional resolutions relative to Bermuda. Please inform us frequently of the state of New York. The destruction of Rivington's press is much talked of. Jay does not approve of it and thinks it does not argue much wisdom or much bravery. Wishes it had been done by New Yorkers and not people from New England if it had to be done. Its reputation cannot be maintained without spirit b eing mingled with prudence.
