- Abstract
- Compliance with John Jay's instructions of 5 January. Has made register of claims cases. Has sent Randolph suggestions on types of evidence and corroboration needed for appeals. Realizes importance of dispatch. Fears expenses to U.S. will be high. As for proctors, Mr. Slade and firm of Crickitt and Townley are two most highly recommended. Thinks Slade would serve U.S. better as his work load is sma ller and he could devote himself more fully to a quick settlement of claims.
